How to get your Personal Code for Companies House

1. Create your GOV.UK One Login

1. Visit: https://www.gov.uk/one-login
2. Select Create your GOV.UK One Login
3. Enter your email address and the 6‑digit code sent to you
4. Create a password
5. Enter your mobile number and the code texted to you
6. Your One Login will now be set up
7. You’ll then receive a code to the email linked to your Companies House WebFiling account — enter this when prompted so the two accounts can be linked

2. Verify your identity

1. Go to: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/verify-your-identity-for-companies-house
2. Scroll down and select Verify your identity
3. Sign in using your GOV.UK One Login
4. Choose the type of ID you want to use (passport or driving licence works best)
5. Follow the steps to take a photo of your ID and a selfie
6. Answer the short security questions
7. Once complete, select Continue to the service

You will then see your Companies House personal code.
